Tristan McCormick wins College Classic Bracket and earns a spot in the 2022 Academy Sports + Outdoors Bassmaster Classic presented by Huk.
On the final day, Tristan began a flurry with a 2-pounder, followed by a 2-6, a 2-5 and then a 2-13 to take the lead with a total of 11 lbs.
Tristan’s flurry saw him cull four times with several 2-pound bass for an 11-pound total weight that earned him the victory by 3 ounces against his opponent with only 10 lb., 13 oz.
McCormick earned one of the most coveted prizes in bass fishing — a berth in the 2022 Academy Sports + Outdoors Bassmaster Classic presented by Huk scheduled for March 4-6 at Lake Hartwell.
McCormick was also awarded $7,500, plus paid entry fees into all 2022 Basspro.com “Bassmaster Opens” and the use of a fully-rigged Nitro Z20 and Toyota Tundra.
